Have you joined the mission?
Last week, Mission Muscle guest blogger, Linton McClain, gave deployed military members a simple way to pass the Physical Fitness Test.
Step 1. Set Personal Standards
Step 2. Establish a Routine
Step 3. Complete the Challenge.
Step two, establishing a routine, is hands-down one of the most important aspects of fitness.
“Everything sounds good on paper and everything is easier said than done. How do you establish a fitness routine? The simplest way is starting from where you are,” explained McClain “Take a look at your schedule and find the times that support building a fitness routine. You will have to experiment to find what works best. Decide if you will exercise in the morning, afternoon, or evening. You may conclude setting your routine with a combination of different times. Get started with simple exercises once you establish the times that work for you; walking, jogging, pushups.”
