The 2016 Honda Civic sedan proved that when it comes to safety, it’s at the top of its game. The sedan earned the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The 2016 Honda Civic Sedan received five stars in the front, side and rollover crash tests performed by the NHTSA.

When tested by the IIHS, the 2016 Civic Sedan received “Good” scores in all five crashworthiness tests, and a “Superior” rating in front crash prevention when equipped with optional features.
Safety Features on the 2016 Honda Civic
The 2016 Civic sedan comes standard with stability control, antilock disc brakes, side airbags, side-curtain airbags and a rearview camera. A right-side blind spot camera and the HondaLink system are standard starting on the EX sedan trim. The HondaLink system includes emergency crash notification.
