An Exhilarating Adventure
In the heart of the Bavarian Alps lies a hidden gem that every service member who loves riding should have on their bucket list – the Ride the Alps Event, a Military Motorcycle Rally in Garmisch, Germany.
Rumbling Harleys took over the Alpine roads surrounding the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort in Garmisch for the weekend of the 25th to the 27th of August 2023.
Now and Then
This adrenaline-fueled military motorcycle rally sponsored by Military AutoSource (MAS) began as a small customer-appreciation event.
Today, this annual event hosts approximately 300 riders from as far away as Spain and Iceland.
MAS has continued the tradition of giving back to the military community by rewarding a service member with a yearly giveaway to this adventuresome event with a weekend getaway package.

Meet the Big Winner
This year Army Master Sergeant Giovanni Jimenez was lucky enough to be selected as the winner of the Ride the Alps vacation package for two. He got to experience a weekend electrified with energy and excitement because it brings together so many elements of why bikers are passionate about riding.
Gorgeous Views in Garmisch
Riders rode their way through dense forests, ascended steep climbs and were treated to panoramic views that seemed straight out of a postcard.
Winner Winner Bavarian Dinner
Of course, the Ride the Alps event isn’t just about the ride. Garmisch is also known for its rich Bavarian culture and cuisine.
After a day of heart-pounding adventure, Master Sgt. Jimenez was treated to a local dinner and a stay for two nights at the Edelweiss Lodge.
