More than 150 riders from across Europe came together in Garmisch, Germany, for the 2026 Ride the Alps event, an unforgettable weekend of motorcycles, mountain roads and camaraderie.
From 17-19 July, military motorcycle enthusiasts explored the Bavarian Alps, shared the open road, and celebrated the adventure and sense of community that make Ride the Alps a standout event year after year.
Three Days in the Alps
Military AutoSource sponsored the event, which brought together experienced riders and newcomers for a weekend of motorcycles, mountain roads and good company.
The schedule included a poker run, scenic rides, live entertainment, awards and giveaways. Along the way, riders passed alpine lakes and centuries-old villages while taking in some of the region’s most memorable roads and scenery.
Ride the Alps Weekend Package Giveaway
This year’s winner, Glen Girona, traveled from Ramstein, Germany, with his wife, Angela. The couple purchased a vehicle from Military AutoSource in 2017.
They summed up the experience in just a few words: “The views! We sent the pictures to family, and they thought it was a green screen!”
Memories That Last Beyond the Ride
With more than 150 riders hitting the road, Ride the Alps was full of energy from start to finish. The route took riders through the Bavarian Alps, with mountain views, winding roads, and plenty of open stretches to enjoy along the way.
For riders, it was an opportunity to experience some incredible roads while connecting with fellow members of the military motorcycle community from across Europe.
Back at Edelweiss
When the riding wrapped up, the fun continued at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, where riders had a chance to relax, reconnect, and enjoy a taste of Bavarian hospitality.
After the day’s rides, everyone returned to the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort to relax, reconnect and enjoy some Bavarian hospitality.
Prizes and awards recognized poker run winners, riders who traveled the farthest, longtime participants, the best bike and more. It was a fitting close to three days of mountain roads, motorcycles and time spent with fellow riders.
The Road to Ride the Alps 2027
The 2026 Ride the Alps event was one for the books, and we’re already looking forward to the next adventure.
The countdown to the 2027 event starts now and we can’t wait to join riders for another unforgettable experience in the Bavarian Alps.
